Juniata Professor to Speak on Music, Mathematics
HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The music of mathematics sounds like a contradiction in terms, but underneath the notes the foundations of music are numerical, from a four-count rhythm to the 12 major scales. John Bukowski, professor of mathematics at Juniata College, will lecture on "The Music and Mathematics of Christiaan Huygens: A Study of Seventeenth-Century Documents," at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, in Neff Lecture Hall in the von Liebig Center for Science.

Drumming Up Interest: Juniata Music Professor Sets Solo Recital
HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Although he's usually busy drumming up musicians to play in Juniata College's instrumental ensembles, James Latten, associate professor of music, will take time out from teaching to perform a solo recital at 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, in Rosenberger Auditorium in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts.

Standards Set Pace for Juniata Jazz Ensemble Concert
HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College Jazz Ensemble will play standards and a few contemporary pieces in concert at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 14 in Rosenberger Auditorium in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts on the Juniata campus.
